Who are Prezzo?
Prezzo is a popular UK-based restaurant chain known for its Italian cuisine, offering a menu that includes a variety of pasta, pizza, and other classic dishes. Founded in 2000, Prezzo operates in numerous locations across the UK, providing a relaxed, family-friendly dining experience. The brand has positioned itself as a go-to spot for casual dining with a focus on fresh, quality ingredients and modern Italian-inspired dishes. Over the years, Prezzo has become a staple in the UK’s casual dining scene.
The Objectives
Prezzo was ready to streamline its IT infrastructure, consolidating multiple data centres into a single cloud provider. Their focus was on migrating from AWS and private cloud solutions to Microsoft Azure while upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 across their entire estate.
Additionally, with a rise in unauthorised access attempts, strengthening resilience and compliance was a key priority. To address this, they opted for a company-wide deployment of Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS), ensuring their systems were secure and future-ready.
The Solution
Intercity proposed an Azure-based solution to modernise and transform Prezzo's services, avoiding a traditional VM-to-VM migration. Following a comprehensive license audit of the Prezzo estate, Intercity recommended deploying EMS and migrating Office 365 licenses to Microsoft 365 under the CSP model.
The solution also encompassed the design, development, and deployment of a secure new Windows 10 build, leveraging Intercity's innovative OneDeploy approach.
The Business Benefits
The data centre consolidation and migration of licensing to CSP unlocked significant savings for Prezzo, allowing them to reinvest in a company-wide upgrade to Enterprise Mobility Suite, expertly deployed by Intercity.
This approach not only delivered cost efficiencies but also enhanced Prezzo's infrastructure and significantly bolstered their security resilience.
