Roko Health Clubs is a privately-owned group with four premium full-service clubs across the UK. Following the decision to separate the operations of PlayFootball and Roko, the Sports & Leisure Group (SLG) sought a forward-thinking solution to support the continued growth of their health clubs. The main objective was to implement a solution that would streamline operations, resolve existing technical challenges, and provide a robust foundation for future success.
With a base of 80 users spread across the company’s head office and four club locations, Roko Health Clubs aimed to create a modern workplace underpinned by a robust, cloud-based infrastructure. The goal was to provide seamless support for the daily needs of their employees, ensuring efficiency and reliability across the organisation.
Following a proven, structured, and standards-based approach, Intercity delivered a robust Microsoft 365 cloud-native foundation for Roko Health Clubs, using its flagship Connect product.
Connect ensures a best-in-class, secure end-user experience with Windows 10/11, optimising Microsoft 365 investments to boost productivity and collaboration. As part of the deployment, desktop and laptop endpoints were joined to Azure Active Directory via Autopilot and are now managed by Intune, incorporating the latest Microsoft Security Portfolio. Legacy build management technologies and on-site IT infrastructure were decommissioned during the transition, and all Roko devices are kept fully up-to-date with the latest security and feature updates. Intercity's UK-based Service Desk team manages Roko’s devices 24/7, ensuring continuous support and security.
The deployment of Connect by Intercity across all user endpoints has provided Roko Health Clubs with a secure, reliable, and future-proof solution tailored to their needs.
With seamless access to data, files, and business applications, Roko’s users can now collaborate more effectively between club locations. This has enhanced the business’s overall cyber security posture, while allowing Roko to fully leverage the capabilities of Microsoft 365, driving productivity and efficiency across the organisation.
