Celebrating Our Journey: From 1982 to an Exciting Future

At Intercity, we believe that every success story starts with a spark of innovation. Ours began in 1982 during a chance encounter between Alan Jackson, Intercity’s future founder, and Martin Cooper, the inventor of the first handheld mobile phone. Fast forward to 1985, and Intercity Telecom was born, providing mobile phones for businesses. From our small beginnings in Birmingham, we embarked on a journey to do more for our customers, colleagues and partners. In 2010 we rebranded as Intercity Technology, marking a pivotal moment in our evolution. We expanded our horizons beyond mobile and embraced the realm of unified communications, becoming a leading provider in the field. Over the years, we have grown and adapted to the ever-changing tech landscape. Today, Intercity Technology comprises three core divisions: Communications, Managed Services, and Cloud & Security. Our diverse offerings enable us to provide comprehensive solutions to our valued clients.

We are proud partners with Ahead Partnership, where in 2022 we helped over 1,000 young people step into the world of technology and unleash their potential. Our environmental commitment extends to providing recycling facilities for mobile devices, ensuring a sustainable supply chain, and minimising our ecological footprint.
