Birmingham-headquartered enterprise mobility and IT specialist, Intercity Technology has bolstered its team following the graduation of its first cohort from its revamped graduate scheme.
Having completed the one-year programme, which consists of multiple placements across the organisation and a timetable of classroom-based learning modules, the four new graduates are now armed with both hands-on experience and industry knowledge, as well as an in-depth understanding of the business’ operations.
Along with four other new recruits at graduate level, they will now take on permanent roles across the inside sales remits working alongside telesales, account management and field support. All graduates will also benefit from ongoing support as they progress through the business.
Georgina Lord, inside sales and marketing director at Intercity Technology said: “This group of graduates have shown great promise and completed some very impressive work over the past 12 months. It’s an intensive programme and demands a lot in terms of willingness to learn and the responsibilities we give to each person involved. This year’s scheme has been particularly successful and all the grads have an in-depth knowledge of our people-focussed technology and future-proofing solutions and as a result have become valuable members of the Intercity team.
“We’re passionate about providing opportunities like this to a diverse range of people, whether that’s young students or those looking to re-train and pursue a different career path. We recognise the importance of nurturing and retaining talent both internally and within the region and we are looking forward to monitoring and supporting our new recruits through every stage of their professional development.”
