At the forefront of communication for three decades

Intercity was founded
Founded by Alan Jackson as an independent service provider at the dawn of mobile technology in the UK. Intercity was one of the first Vodafone partners and was licenced by Cellnet (O2).
Expanded into the Netherlands
Expanded operations to have the first mobile license in the Netherlands.
Introduced fixed landlines
Intercity introduced fixed landline services.
Introduced cloud services
First cloud services were introduced. Offices were now located in Birmingham, Manchester and London.
Rebranded as Intercity Telecom
The business was rebranded as Intercity Telecom Ltd, facilitating a shift from a mobile focused business to a unified communications provider.
Awarded ServiceMark Accreditation
First and only independent telecom service provider to be awarded the ServiceMark Accreditation from the Institute of Customer Service, putting Intercity on a level with prestigious brands like Waitrose, John Lewis, and Marks and Spencer for their focus on world-class service to clients.
Acquired Gage Networks
Intercity acquired Gage Networks to add depth to its service offering as leading cloud communication specialists. All Gage Network staff including senior management were retained post-acquisition.
Awarded ICS Engagement Strategy of the Year
Awarded ICS Engagement Strategy of the Year at the Institute of Customer Service UK Customer Satisfaction Awards, beating large brands such as Marks and Spencer and Carillion.
Acquired public sector specialist, Imerja
Intercity acquired highly-accredited IT service provider Imerja. This enhanced its complex and secure communications and IT services, and provided access to public sector frameworks to customers. Business expansion to Birmingham, Bolton, London, Elstree, Oakham and Amsterdam.
Rebranded as Intercity Technology
The business was rebranded as Intercity Technology, facilitating a shift from a telecoms focused business to a holistic technology services provider.
Launched self-service portal
Intercity launched self-serve customer portal, providing customers with e-billing and self-service capabilities.
Sole supplier to Virgin Media Business for managed LAN
Intercity is appointed as the sole supplier of Managed LAN services into the Virgin Media Business product portfolio.
